Renting a place for myself after a long time

Well, I have lived with my roommate Ana ever since we got out of college five years ago. I recently got new job across from the city, so I might as well find a closer place, otherwise it will take me a couple of hours to commute every day.
I have been calling many rental places, and finally there was this nice and affordable apartment that I really liked it, so I decided to schedule an apartment view. As soon as I got there, the next door neighbor was just about to leave, he greeted me and we chated for a little bit. I asked him a couple of questions such as how noisy the condo was, and also about public transportation. He was super nice, and advised me that would be a good deal due to the fact that is pretty close to the subway, supermarkets, and it is a safe neighborhood as well.
It was a furnished one bedroom apartment. Everything seemed to be new and very clean. What I liked the most was the balcony with a nice view towards the park right in front of it. The agent guarentted me that there was no plumbing or leaking problem. He said that I would be the first tenat, so everything was brand new.
After the rental agent showed me the apartment, I asked about the requirements in order to rent it because I defenetly wanted to live there. He said that would be necessary to pay a security deposit up front, and to sign a contract for at least one year. On top of that, I would need to provide my paycheck tab from the past three months, and also have a good credit score. I said that would be fine with me, and he told me that he needed to call the landlord to let her know about my interest.
I am looking forward to move in as soon as possible, but I need to confess that I am also a bit nervous about moving to a new place, and living by myself after so long. Please, wish me luck!
